USB/ External Hard-Drive
used to carry digital data easily for transporting to different destinations within the clutches of a small stick. A hard-drive is a larger capacity version of a USB. It's still helpful but is much bigger than the standard USB.
Phones
Mobile phones have always been constantly changing, nowadays a phone is pretty much a computer, camera, mp3 player and a phone all in one device. New phones such as the iPhone 6 can capture images, videos, call, text, surf the web, listen to music, create notes and even store data.
Camera
This device is used to capture imagery/video. This gives us the content we need to edit and get creative. As we take a photo/video it stores the data one to memory card within the camera to transfer to any chosen place to use when needed.
Scanners
Any documents on a laptop/computer are able to be presented via a scanner to save us time instead of having to write the whole document out again. We could use scanners for objects we intend to use, getting creative in Photoshop to create our images. A scanner therefore just leaves us with a picture of whatever we choose to scan.
Analogue methods of creating imagery typically resort to old style cameras such as these:
SLR cameras with 35mm film are the stereotypical view of analogue technology. By exposing the film to a burst of light, it captures the imagery, which then needs to be developed within a darkroom.

Openly documented, openly licensed - RAW is not the same as DNG
Printing
Printing photography onto A2 paper with the correct resolutions:
Step 1. Create a blank canvas within Adobe Photoshop
(A2 is not an option in the size menu so start with A4)
Step 2. Find out the size of A2 paper online
Step 3. Back on Photoshop, add the adjustments to make the canvas A2
Step 4. Load your image onto the blank canvas in Photoshop, notice how the image does not fit perfectly.
(test image used below)
Step 5. To fix the problem, drag the image into a separate tab, set the resolution to 300, then click to resample the image.
Step 6. Change the size from centimetres to percentage then enlarge the image by 105% each time.
Step 7. Depending on the size of the image you started with, the image may not fill the whole A2 canvas, this is not so much of a problem a you can print then cut yourself.
Influences
Elle Moss
Elle's work has influenced me to capture the beauty of a simple object. Getting up close
to capture beyond the imperfections of old and used objects.
What I love about this image is that it hides the imperfections of the settings by having a colourful and perfect object sitting in the middle of the image. From looking at Elle's other photographs I can see that she tries to capture a more feminine feel to her images, not so much taking photos of objects a female would use, for example; a purse or jewellery but capturing an object then adding tones that give it a more calm, bright feel to it.
The YouTube video below is a film Elle Moss made, it's nothing to do with the photography but it's a personal favourite. This time lapse shows another one of her many skills.
Kevin Milz
Kevin's work has influenced me to use a similar colour scheme throughout my photos.
Getting beneath the imperfections of objects to capture the true beauty of a picture by
the colours used.
What I love about Kevin Milz's work is the act that even though he is a wedding photographer, he doesn't just focus on the couple or the guests or the dress, he focuses on the little things for example; the above image. These photos were taken for a Valentines shoot, it's romantic, elegant and beautifully put together.
Shoot
My aim for this shoot was to capture the beauty of old vintage objects, mainly focusing on the colours I've used. The idea for this shoot is to use a fob watch in many but not all of the photos, this is so it gives the idea of being back in time and nostalgia.
I decided to have a look in a few charity shops for items that looked old but pretty, I purchased the cup and saucer from the St. Francis Hospice and all the jewellery was found in a box in my grandparents loft.
The flowers used were artificial as I wanted them to look the same in each photograph without them getting damaged with all the moving around. I thought the flowers would be a nice touch for my images as they match the colours from the jewellery and the backdrop it also makes the photos look more feminine which is what I was after.
Advert
I was going to use a 4x4 layout for my image but I didn't want to cut out too much of the background.
Edits
Using Lightroom 5
Detailed construction of these images
From the original images, my first thought was to make to give my images a more vintage feel to them, mainly by adding different effects to them.
The first step I took was to go to the Tone Curve panel and raise the left side of the RGB curve upwards. Doing this removed true black from the photo, making the darkest tones lighter.
Playing around with the RGB Tone Curve, I created a matte tone effect on my image.
I used the same effect on some of my other photos, experimenting with the RGB tone curve.
From my edits, I think my images would look better if they stayed the same with the colours enhanced to make them more eye catching.
